Marylebone is bustling with delightful dining spots so Corbin and King’s Viennese neighbourhood café and Konditorei has found the perfect home in the well-known high street.
Working with the interior designer we created an architectural lighting design scheme that would maintain a warm, intimate atmosphere from early morning breakfast through to evening service. And, it had to be flexible, modern, low maintenance and energy efficient without compromising on the quality of illumination.
We carefully balanced illumination levels to enhance the depth of the restaurant and used layers of light to create a cosy ambience. The grand interior exudes warm tones and encourages conviviality through a flexible lighting system that produces the intimate hue of the old-fashioned lamp and allows for “scene setting” throughout the day.
The result is a restaurant that oozes ageless elegance and where diners are charmed by the old-world European café experience. It’s pretty safe to say this classic dining spot will be around for a long time, and not just because the pastries are to die for.
