When there’s talk of a taxus maze and, amongst other things, an amphitheatre it’s pretty safe to assume it’s not in reference to your average back garden. And we were right. This is a large-scale exterior residential project in Surrey with lavish gardens, “thematic” landscapes and a lighting design installation to suit.
The lighting solution will emphasise and complement key features and introduce interactive elements like a dynamic light sculpture at the centre of the “taxus maze” as well as subtle colour change and movement through a “Garden of Surprises”. As if that’s not enough, other delights will include a Victorian garden, Chinese garden, terraces, swimming pool, tennis courts and a number of stunning water features.
Even though this is a grand exterior project, the lighting design solution will be sustainable – all light fittings located within the landscape will be low-energy LED and long life.
