Occasionally, residential properties come our way that are so architecturally daring and imaginative that they ought to be seen by more than the family living there. This is one of those properties.
We developed the lighting design solution alongside the architectural team, and our aim was to showcase the magnificent features of the house while still creating a warm, convivial and relaxing living environment.
One of our favourite areas to design was the incredible swimming pool – where the spiral glass staircase and low feature ceiling add more than a touch of pizzazz. To give a sense of space, light and grandeur, we used uplit coffers to visually “lift” the top of the room.
Throughout the building, we focused on lighting that is as environmentally friendly as possible – such as low-energy luminaires, and a lighting control system which dims the lights and reduces energy consumption when daylight levels are high.
