Nulty has three nominations
In the world of architectural lighting design it’s nearly time for our equivalent of the Oscars (we like to think big!). The Lighting Design Awards 2015 will take place on Thursday 19th March and here at Nulty we are on a big count down as three of our projects have been nominated – here’s a rundown…
Fenchurch Street Office – Workplace:
A dramatic, vibrant and innovative architectural lighting design solution for a new underwriting office at the landmark 20 Fenchurch Street – otherwise known as the Walkie-Talkie. The exciting new space includes a dynamic feature lobby that responds to movement, changing from black to the brand colours. The lighting design scheme creates a bold and unique environment that steps away from that of the traditional, corporate office design.
John Lewis, York – Special Projects:
An innovative architectural light art installation resembling a ‘Breaking Wave’. The feature sculpture hangs over the ground floor staircase of the retail space and is designed to encourage a flow of movement up and down the stairway, drawing customers to the back of the store. The sustainable light art showpiece wows visitors with its 360 degree viewing.
MATCHESFASHION.COM – Retail:
This already award-winning lighting design project complements the high-end, luxury retail interior of this flagship store in Wimbledon Village, London. At the heart of the retail lighting scheme is a combination of design and architecture that delivers an atmosphere of high quality and elegance, appropriate for a luxury retail brand.
The awards ceremony will take place at the London Hilton, Park Lane, London and Nulty’s team of lighting designers will be there with bells on hoping for some well-deserved recognition for the fantastic work that they continue to create.
