The role of light
In the first issue of the new year Bar Magazine looks at a number of leading operators that are planning to invest in new sites and refurbishments over the next 12 months. It also mentions that restaurants with stand-alone bars are set to be a continuing trend.
And, of course, the lighting scheme plays a huge part in all of this. In the article Paul Nulty talks about how ornamentation in lighting has been on the up over the last year, with reference to our recent project at Adventure Bar, Clapham Junction. Our associate Emilio Hernandez also adds that the use of vintage and 1950s-style Scandinavian decorative lighting is on the rise, enabled in part by the progress in dimmable LED and micro filament compact fluorescent lamps.
