Bordering the Mediterranean Sea, Address Marassi Golf Resort is nestled within the prestigious Marassi development, which covers an impressive 6.5 million sqm of Egypt’s northern coastline.
Influenced by Tuscan-style architecture, the low-rise resort needed a lighting solution that would celebrate the architecture, enrich the interior design, and envelop every guest in luxuriousness.
Patrons are greeted with warming hues of illumination that glow from ceiling coves in the lobby – this concealed lighting detail highlights the elevation of the ceiling and its cottage-style composition, while adding a dose of flare and drama. Above the check-in desk, downlights provide pools of functional lighting below and wall washers bring attention to the golden backdrop.
Bold pendant lights are suspended across the bar and dining areas, and individual picture lights illuminate artwork that’s dotted throughout the interior space. To accentuate the bar area and highlight glassware and ornaments, a mix of lighting techniques were used, including integrated joinery lighting and small downlights.
A standout feature of the resort is the vast ballroom that can be divided into three separate spaces. Here the lighting can be adapted to suit any event via an easy-to-use control system.
Stepping outside, the relaxing poolside bar is enriched by an illuminated colonnade, and coves and Roman-style columns across the facade are accentuated by a wash of light to form a picturesque view as guests sit back and relax.
