Rosslyn Park Football Club is a rugby team founded by cricketers – all sounds very confusing to the non-sporty lighting designers amongst us. That’s okay though because our task was something we know everything about: lighting calculations for planning permission.
New advertising LED media screens were proposed for the sporting ground and we did a lighting analysis to determine the brightness of each screen, along with the potential light spill onto nearby homes and areas of natural beauty. Our report found that the screens’ performance, set within an agreed curfew and luminance output parameters, was inline with ILP recommendations and therefore the proposal could be approved for planning.
