Having become accustomed to the language of lighting design during his studies in interior design and decoration at the M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering in Mumbai, Aamil amassed 10 years industry experience in his native India, before joining Nulty’s Pune team.
Frequently found dismantling light fixtures to study the technical components as a youngster (sorry mum!), Aamil originally wanted to be a mechanical and electronic engineer, so it’s no wonder that he knows how to specify exactly the right light fixture for each element of a project.
If Aamil could work on any project, he’d be first out the gate for the Rajabai Clock Tower, part of The Victorian and Art Deco Ensemble of Mumbai (and a World Heritage site) that first opened in 1878.
A die-hard fan of cricket, Aamil is also a lover of Indian cuisine and a big motorcycle buff, having travelled 1700km across India. It’s no surprise then that his dream is to one day take part in the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca by motorcycle.
