The way light interacts with architecture and creates immersive environments is what compels Alex when it comes to lighting design. She always wanted to be an artist and being a lighting designer is a dream come true for her – it requires a combination of artistic skills as well as technical ones, playing to her strengths.
Light is a medium that is never static, nor is language, and Alex speaks three. We may rely on her to help translate Bulgarian, but we also turn to her for her skills in creating unique concepts and bringing them to life.
Make every day count is Alex’s motto and she certainly does that, be it on a lighting project, when she’s drawing or skiing down a mountain (one of her favourite pastimes).
