Avani has a master’s degree in Architectural Lighting Design from KTH Royal Institute, Stockholm, and loved every second of it. A city with nature on its doorstep, she took advantage of its hiking trails and beaches and was lucky enough to see the Northern Lights a number of times – any lighting designer’s dream.
As someone that loves to travel, Avani is always seeking to experience new cultures and cuisines, but nothing can beat her Indian roots. Her dream would be to work on Indian heritage lighting projects – adapting old buildings and using light to transform them into modern spaces that can be used by all. Coming from a background of interior design, Avani knows the power of light and what it takes to create a scheme that collaborates with the interiors to truly elevate a space.
Avani has just begun her lighting journey but with her mantra being ‘aut viam inveniam aut faciam’ meaning ‘either I shall find a way, or I shall create one’, we have no doubt she’ll fit right in.
