Maisie grew up in the south of Thailand and as a result has always felt a pull towards nature and the environment. She now lives in Bangkok but loves to escape the bright lights of the big city and bring it back to nature and the beautiful Thai landscape. Being from the south means that she has an affinity with water, the ocean, and the movement of waves.
The relationship Masie has with nature is something that she brings to her work in lighting design. She studied landscape architecture and has always been interested in developing the relationship between people and places. Now Masie does so through the medium of light, through her work she plays with artificial as well as natural light and finds it important to use both forms to connect people and place.
