Vaibhavi was captivated from a young age by how light can completely transform the mood of a space, and discovered the powerful impact lighting has on aesthetics and functionality during her studies at the SNDT Women’s University in Mumbai.
This led her to pursue a specialised career in lighting design, so she joined design firm Brainwave Designs and subsequently Lighting Concepts, where she implemented her freshly acquired design expertise. She quickly found empowerment in working with light to influence and enhance the human experience by bringing spaces to life – as well as creating a sense of comfort and beauty.
Thriving in an environment where she can combine her creative and technical skills, Vaibhavi revels in overcoming design challenges – whether it’s optimising energy efficiency, working with budget constraints, or finding solutions for complex architectural features, Vaibhavi is that one type of person who always manages to solve the Rubik’s cube.
If her design prowess wasn’t enough, Vaibhavi is fluent in FIVE languages and is a talented artist and crochetier. If she could work on any project in the world, it would be the Burj Khalifa – an expansively pioneering project. No surprises there, as Vaibhav’s mantra in life is – “Do what makes you happy, even if that doesn’t make sense to the world.”
